"From out of the Penna. Dutch country comes Alice the Queen of the Funnel cakes, singing some of her songs that she wrote while making her famous funnel cakes at fairs, carnivals, festivals and shopping centers etc. Her funnel cakes are still a family run business, the batter is mixed by hand as it is used and only fresh milk, eggs, flour, etc. is used (No) premixes are used. So get the touch of the Dutch. Just as her cakes are the originals, so are her songs."

Alice is Pennsylvania Dutch. Her ancestors weren't from The Netherlands but they came from German speaking areas in the 18th century to settle down in Pennsylvania. More information: http://midatlantic.rootsweb.com/padutch/


Alice heeft een kraam met "funnel cakes", letterlijk vertaald: trechtercakes. Tijdens het bakken, zingt zij haar eigen liedjes. Het beslag wordt met de hand geklopt en er worden alleen verse melk, eieren, bloem, etc. gebruikt. Haar liedjes zijn nèt zo puur.
